Mongolian Tourist Visa Application Guide

Please note most European, Asian and Latin America passport holders do require a visa to visit Mongolia as tourists for up to 30 days unless their nationality enjoys visa-free regime with Mongolia. If your nationality is not listed below you will need to apply for the visa. 

Please note you can apply for a tourist visa to Mongolia NO EARLIER THAN THREE MONTHS before your arrival in Mongolia. 

Required documents for tourist visa for 30 days
  1. Passport with a validity date at least six months after intended departure date from Mongolia
  2. Completed visa application form
  3. One passport size photo
  4. Travel insurance confirmation: valid in Mongolia during your stay. Order your travel insurance.
Mongolia visa application guidance

Step 1. Download the Mongolian visa application and complete by hand. The form mainly asks for your personal details, place of work, intended duration of stay in Mongolia. There are a couple of questions that require some clarification. Please see below how to answer them:

Step 2. Print the form on clear white A4 paper only and on one-side of the paper, double-sided printed application will not be accepted.

Step 3. Submit the form to your local Mongolian embassy or post the documents to our office in the UK.

Processing times

As a general rule you should allow about two weeks for your visas to be processed by the embassy. If you are applying for the Mongolian tourist visa in the UK through our company please view our current processing times. Overseas customers should check the information with the relevant Mongolian consulate.
