Transiting through China? This is your opportunity to make the most of your holiday by taking a short stopover to explore the Chinese capital en-route to your final destination. It is very simple: no entry visa is required and we will take care of airport transfers, accommodation and will offer a guided programme. This tour is only available to transit passengers, arriving and leaving from Beijing Airport, but travelling through China (i.e. your country of arrival should be different from the destination country say arriving in Beijing from the UK, departing to Japan). Day 1. Beijing
Our driver will meet you at the airport arrival sector. Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon you will have a fantastic introduction to old Beijing district, where we will visit a ‘Hutong’ neighbourhood. In its narrow streets you will enjoy a guided rickshaw ride.
Day 2. Beijing
We will start in central Beijing at Tiananmen, the fourth largest city square in the world at 440,000sq metres. Next, we will embark on a guided tour of the Forbidden City, Imperial Palace, and also visit the elegant Summer Palace. In the evening we will enjoy a traditional roast duck dinner.
Day 3. Beijing
Today is an exploration of the Great Wall of China - the most famous tourist attraction in the country. After, we will drive to the Olympic Green and park built in Beijing for 2008 for the Summer Olympics. Later on our driver will transfer you to the airport to catch your onward flight.

Day 1. Beijing
Our driver will meet you at the airport arrival sector with a “China & Beyond” signboard. Transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon you will have a fantastic introduction to old Beijing district, where we will visit a ‘Hutong’ neighbourhood located by Shichahai Lake. In its narrow streets you will enjoy a guided rickshaw ride that will transport you away from rapid development of the Chinese capital. Many hutongs are being demolished and new roads and skyscrapers are taking their place. However, some old hutong areas are preserved under their ‘special status’ in order to preserve Beijing’s culture. (D)
Day 2. Beijing
We will start in central Beijing at Tiananmen, the fourth largest city square in the world at 440,000sq metres. Close to the Forbidden City, it was where the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China by Mao Zedong in 1949. Next, we will embark on a guided tour of the Forbidden City and Imperial Palace, listed by UNESCO as the biggest group of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. In the afternoon you will visit the elegant Summer Palace to explore the art of Chinese landscape garden design and a combination of lakes and hills. In the evening we will enjoy a traditional roast duck dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 3. Beijing
Today is an exploration of the Great Wall of China - the most famous tourist attraction in the country. Built from the 7th century BC onwards, to protect the Chinese Empire from nomads, today it is one of the wonders of the world. We will travel 44 miles north of Beijing to the Badaling section the best preserved section of the Wall, built in the 16th century. After, we will drive to the Olympic Green and park built in Beijing for 2008 for the Summer Olympics. Later on our driver will transfer you to the airport to catch your onward flight. (B,L)
